Inspired by a homework assignment

The idea for Goblies® Throwable Paintballs was inspired by a manufacturing assignment in the Technical Entrepreneurship Masters program at Lehigh University. Founder, Briana Gardell, tried to make an egg out of soap. The yolk inspired the first throwable paintball!

Briana created the working prototype and developed the Goblies brand while in the Technical Entrepreneurship Masters program at Lehigh University.

Mezzimatic LLC

The day after graduation, Briana formed Mezzimatic LLC. The company is named after Briana’s grandparents, the Mezzacappa’s. Briana always painted with her grandmother, and her grandfather was a serial entrepreneur. Briana named the company after both of them because she knew she needed both creativity and entrepreneurial determination to make the company succeed.

Mezzimatic LLC’s mission is to create memories.
